Here's where you can put your thoughts on life within the walls. What do they do between Lunar assaults? I think what we need here would be a paragraph or two on life within the walls and the addition of timeline events that only apply to the peaceful lulls.
I'm seeing the regular folk carrying on as normal, bread doesn't bake itself, and the influx of mighy warriors either staying at the temple or regular inns. However all this will fill up quite quickly and I prefer the xs bunking down in family homes, a sort of Third Age B&B. I just think it's funny. Olaf the Brave not let back in 'cos it has gone 11pm that sort of thing.

Even if there aren't many "ordinary people" there, what are the warriors doing in the gaps? Bored warriors are a Bad Thing. I'm sure that, despite the risks, entertainers and traders of various sorts will be there to make the most of the opportunities. And there could be quite a lot of opportunities for Plot and Scenario in those opportunities. Not all PCs are warriors, and even those that are don't spend all their time fighting.

Story Seeds
- Peace keeping between war bands is a classic of course.
- Finding things for bored warriors to do, other than insult and fight each other.
- Sorties for food or sneaking/flying out for supplies.
- Teaching berserks to bake bread? Someone's got to:-)
- Turning rivalries to your advantage. How do you keep sworn enemies from killing each other?
- Two heroes get married. Everyone tries to outdo the others in finding special gifts for them. Maybe it's the two Helerings? This is a good way to relieve some tension.
- Minstrels or other entertainers arrive to keep the troops occupied. Bored men gift richly and are easily amused.
